The most advance, cutting edge technology available!
Even in challenging and congested environments our equipment excels in precision.

Actively transmitting a frequency through the underground utility's conductive material. The transmitter is hooked directly to the physical utility and a ground to earth.

EM Locating - Passive

Induction

Acoustic Locating

Traceable Rodder

EM Locating - Active

Sondes

Ability to quickly scan an area for live AC power and radio signals. Our transmitters are able to scan at different harmonics covering a wide range of passive signals.

Our Transmitter is able to induce the earth with a powerful electromagnetic field energizing any conductive utilities below. Can be a great way to energize a line under pavement that could not otherwise be hooked directly to.

With two different size push cameras available, we can access plumbing even in tight spaces. Lines as small as 1.5" all the way to 12" lines can be viewed and recorded.

A specially designed fiberglass reel that can push through the smallest of lines. Can then be energized by EM Active transmitters to trace a non-metallic utility.

Sondes are able to emit electromagnetic fields at varying frequencies to be received by EM Locators. Considered to be the most accurate locating method, we are able to accurately pinpoint damage to infrastructure for repair.

At Linelock Locating we hold a Standard and Advanced certificate in EM Locating! We also perform continued education yearly.

Know Before you Dig

Calling 811 (JULIE) is the first step, but it only covers the lines the utility companies own. That usually means the street to your meter. Everything beyond that — on your property — is your responsibility.

What we can locate

Having a physical map of the sewer, sewer cleanout, water line and water box can be a huge time saver in the case of an emergency.

—Check out our GIS Maps!

Public vs Private Utilities
  • Public lines → Company-owned, marked by 811 (JULIE).

  • Private lines → Your responsibility, not marked by 811. These include water, gas, electric, communication, or other service lines that run from the meter into your property.

Our Methods
We use professional-grade equipment to find what 811 doesn’t cover, including:
  • Electromagnetic locating for conductive lines such as power, gas, and communications.

  • Advanced acoustic and tracer methods to identify non-conductive lines like plastic water pipes.

Having both options means no matter the conditions, we can find what others can’t.

Full line replacements can be extremely costly. Let us pinpoint the damage to your buried cable and save you money!

How it works

This process involves using a specialized frame for the equipment to rest in. The frame has probes that enter the earth in front and back. This detects decibel readings that will point to breaks in the coating, faulty connections, or strike damage.

By accurately pinpointing these faults, Linelock Locating can prevent costly full replacement and extended service interruptions. Fault finding allows for timely repairs, minimizing disruption to both residential and commercial projects.

Fault Finding

Our locators are capable of locating cable to ground faults caused by damaged cable sheaths.
We can also locate damage to insulation on pipelines.
Let Linelock Locating keep you and your crew safe and your project on time!
